Botanical Name
Lavandula hybrida
Benefits and Qualities
Lavandin grosso is distinguished by its relaxing and anti-spasmodic qualities. While its usage on the skin is welcome in the form of massage unguents, it renders its most undeniable service as an ambiance nuancer. It nurtures peace in the home. Synergies: orange, majoram.
Production
Essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of the recently harvest flowery heads of a lavandin clone called ""Grosso"" (lavandula angustifolia Miller x lavandula latifolia Medikus), cultivated in the South of France. (Labieaes)
The Plant
A product of the Labieae family, lavandin grosso is the most recent clone from true lavender. It yields three times the product of lavandin abrial, which means, of course, that today it is the most cultivated of all. "It's a best seller."
