Benefits and Qualities
There are three varieties of rosemary (camphoraceous, cineolic, and verbenonic), which all are specific to the respiratory passages and act against all maladies of the ear, nose, and throat by virtue of their expectorant, analgesic, and anti-bacterial properties. Rosemary essential oil is also a tonic for the veins and arteries, excellent for preparing for strenuous physical activity and athletic competition.

The Plant
Rosemary is virtually one with the Mediterranean. Its beneficent and sacred character has assured it of a reputation all its own. Numerous customs put it center stage. The Greeks and Romans tressed it into crowns, knowing that it would vivify their memory, and young newlyweds would plant a branch on their wedding day as a sign of stability. Arab doctors first extracted rosemary essential oil; ever since it has continuously extended its exceptional spirit.
Caution
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Keep away from children. Avoid during pregnancy. Contra-indicated in cases of epilepsy.
