Vetiver essential oil balances the nervous system and recenters vital energy. Production
Essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of the roots of vetiveria zizanioides L. Stapf.
The Plant
Native to India and Indonesia, it is the roots of the vetiver plant that are of interest for their fragrancing properties. In India, these roots were used to fabricate blinds which could then be moistened so as to refresh the atmosphere and diffuse a delicious fragrance. Thus vetiver is found intimately connected to daily well-being, which is why perfumiers have never stopped hungering for it.

Parfume-Creation
Heavy odour of the forest and the earth; woody-balsamic, with sugary-acid accents. Because of its marked masculine character it is used principally in masculine notes. Sought after also for chyprès notes.
