Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, wintergreen essential oil is the oil of choice for muscular problems, cramps, tendonitis, and arthritis. Thus, it is recommended for athletes before, during, and after a contest. In addition, this oil is very effective against the most debilitating migraines.

The Plant
Wintergreen is a bush with rampant stems that grows in the forests of the United States and Canada. (It was a Canadian botanist who gave it its name of gaultheria.) The Inuits of Canada tradiationally take it as an infusion against migraines or aches and pains of any kind.
