Origins
Néroliane is first of all the Côte d’Azur of perfumes: history and knowledge linked by the the light of the Grasse countryside, by the bounty of its olfactory heritage, and by the production of plants for perfume.
The pure and natural essential oils that we distribute today are created exclusively at Albert Vieille laboratories, long-time investors in the Grasse perfume industry, repositories of the double craft-intelligence of the distillation and the cultivation of aromatic plants, and co-founder of the Néroliane brand.
From bigarade to Néroliane
Marius Laborma founded the company in Vallauris at the beginning of the 20th century, marketing the stripped peel of the fruit of the bitter orange, the bigarade. He augmented this business by importing aromatic plants and essential oils and by distilling local plants and flowers such as rose and iris. It was Grasse’s golden age: the town was justly honored with the title “World Capital of Perfume.” Albert Vieille, his son in law, established an import network during the 1970s which rapidly set down and elaborated roots in more than 40 countries. Company expansion continued under the hand of Georges Ferrando, who created subsidiaries in Spain and Lebanon and built the laboratory needed for the company’s further development.
