The Plant

Climbing plant (stems or creepers) originating in tropical America, growing in Mexico, Guatamala, Venezuela, Guyana and on the islands of Madagascar, Reunion, the Comoros, and Tahiti. Harvest is done between April and June. First harvest of a plot after three years.

Benefits and Qualities

Used in the food industry to flavor cookies and drinks. Gives a caramel flavor to ice cream.

Use in parfume

Balsamic family, butter aroma; vanilla note of carmelised sugar, animal, lightly of rum; sugary flavor.

To be used in small quantities. Keep away from children. Never expose to eyes or mucous membranes. May provoke allergic reaction.
