Do your flavorings contain sugar or sweeteners?

Our flavors do not contain sweeteners, but most are sugar-based. Only the natural flavors of lemon (zest), organic cherry, organic exotic fruits, organic rose, mint, green apple, amaretto, salted butter caramel, sweet almond, orange blossom, blueberry, kiwi, melon, and panettone are sugar-free.

Why are your flavorings described as natural despite the presence of additives?

According to European regulations, our flavorings are natural. Additives are added in small quantities to ensure a shelf life of at least one year without altering the naturalness of the product.

What does the best-before date on your flavorings mean?

The best-before date is an indication of the date before which the product is at its best, not an expiry date. After this date, the product is still safe to consume but may lose some of its taste qualities.

Where are your flavorings made and where do the raw materials come from?

All our flavorings are made in France (PACA region 06). The raw materials vary depending on harvests, seasons, and global demand.

What is an X flavoring?

Food flavorings are governed by Regulation (EC) No. 1334/2008 of December 16, 2008, which determines the “legal status of flavorings” according to their ingredients: artificial flavoring / natural flavoring / natural flavoring of X / natural flavoring of X with other natural flavorings.In accordance with this regulation, all our flavors are at least natural flavors. For some, the legal status is “natural flavor,” for others “natural flavor of X” (which means that at least 95% of the flavoring substance comes from the product mentioned). It should also be noted that all organic flavorings are classified as “natural flavoring of X” (within the meaning of Articles 16.2, 16.3 and 16.4 of Regulation (EC) No. 1334/2008 on flavorings (point 2.2.2 b) of Annex II, Part IV of Regulation (EU) No. 848/2018). Furthermore, “natural flavorings of X” are flavorings that are compatible with the manufacture of organic products.
